A project for the common good
Stilfibra was born with the vocation of being a product of the Common Good, it is not a simple project for the production of chairs and other objects. At STL SRL Benefit we believe that Wellbeing should not only be economic, but also ethical, aesthetic, social and environmental.
A project for the common good
Right now there is no need to create new materials, for greater sustainability it is better to work and transform what already exists.
We need innovation in the reuse of materials to think about a sustainable future.
In fact, the context of our project is the Economy of the Common Good Movement, which STL SRL has joined to draw up the Sustainability Report and become a Benefit in December 2021.
In particular, the two sections on supply chain transparency and co-designing products and services with customers have inspired the creation of a new product.
The reuse of existing moulds provided by one of our suppliers and the use of biocomposites made from plant waste and post-industrial recycled polymers provided by one of our customers are in line with the objective of transparency and shared decision- making along the entire supply chain: dialogue with the customer for the design of products and services and the willingness to involve suppliers are the driving force behind the project.
A Sustainable Chair for the Common Good and the Social Good
At STL SRL Benefit we believe that Wellbeing should not only be economic, but also ethical, aesthetic, social and environmental.
Through Stilfibra we can also convey our adherence to the Common Good Movement, a business model that places the well-being of people and the planet at the centre, based on the values of: Human Dignity – Solidarity – Social Justice – Eco-sustainability – Transparency and democratic sharing.
Stilfibra is also a social project: part of the proceeds from the sale of Erbi will be donated to the WomenForFreedom Association, in particular to the Project ‘At School with Chiara’, which will allow 240 Nepalese girls to sit behind a school desk, avoiding an arranged marriage at school age. This makes the message that Stilfibra wants to convey clearer: first of all, respecting the environment and integrating it, producing goodness and beauty with a look towards the future.
Inspired by the EBC (Economy of the Common Good), STL SRL Benefit has decided to make its contribution to the creation of a materially sustainable product, giving new life to waste, and beautiful thanks to its design. Stilfibra is also a social project: part of the proceeds from the sale of Erbi will be donated to the WomenForFreedom Association, in particular to the ‘At School with Chiara’ Project, which will allow 200 Nepalese girls to sit behind a school desk, avoiding an arranged marriage at school age. This makes clearer the message that Stilfibra wants to bring, first of all respecting the environment and integrating it, producing good and beauty with an eye to the future.
