Function and sustainability – Stilfibra on Allestire online

We are delighted to have been reported on by Allestire Online, which has dedicated an article to our Stilfibra project, created to bring a new approach to sustainability to the world of design.

The article discusses how an everyday object, such as a chair, can acquire new value thanks to research into materials and the use of plant fibres and recycled plastics from a controlled supply chain, 100% Made in Italy.

The article focuses on Erbi, our first chair: a project that combines functionality, aesthetics and respect for the environment.

Each version is made from a different plant fibre — chamomile, coffee parchment, grape marc and miscanthus — which gives the chair a unique texture and scent.

As Lucia Cuman, CEO of STL Design & Tecnologia, explains, ‘thanks to the material it is made of, Erbi is truly good, because the plant fibres retain their original scent, offering a unique sensory experience’.

The article also highlights the versatility of the collection: a multifunctional chair, ideal for the home, office, shops and restaurants, available with different types of legs and finishes, designed to adapt to any environment.
